a young Cathar from SWTOR
more cheers to the artist
Artora was a Cathar female and she grew up on the planet Taris, where her ancestors had escaped the assault on their homeworld, Cathar, during the Mandalorian Wars almost 300 years back. Her species has still not recovered from that major blow, and Cathar remains rare. But all their traits and character remains.
Artora is kind but short on patience, she wanted to remain independant. But its a luxury few Cathars can have, many of the woman were often sold or stolen from their family to be slaves.
That is what would have happened to her if not for Jedi Master Kaia Lassic
who saved her from slavers while she was traveling with her family to Coruscant in hope of a better life . Master Lassic was a compassionate Jedi, and knowing the hard life most Cathars had, she offered that family shelter on Tython.
They didnt want and couldnt live in the Jedi Temple, so they went to live with some illegals Twi’lek refugees in their village. Life was good on Tython, but Artora wanted action, so when her parents judged old enough, they allowed her to ask Master Kaia Lassic if she could be trained to assist her, in hope they could repay their debt to her, but of course Artora just wanted to explore the galaxy.
Artora had a hard time obeying simple orders, but she quickly realized she’d go nowhere if she didnt change her ways. When the trainers said she was ready, she finally joined Master Kaia Lassic, who didnt have a Padawan at the time, and though of very patient nature, and though Artora tried her best, she oftens managed to test Master Lassic’s patience and what had really brought her to accept Artora’s presence!
But with time Artora managed to moderate her attitude with the Jedi Master, though it came back pretty quickly in presence of others she didnt know. Their companionship endured, even when Master Lassic choosed a Padawan, Tyria Beshenal
a Miraluka, with which Artora was immediately at ease. They formed a great team, always watching each other’s back, and often getting out of tight corners in their difficult and warring time.
